JULY 2015

July is the month for camps!!  The first week in July was Kennedy's basketball camp and the second week was volleyball camp.  She really enjoyed both!  I also signed Daxton up for two 2-week sessions of swim lessons (so basically the whole month of July).  I wasn't very impressed with swim lessons this year.  After the first session, he was supposed to be moved up to the next class, but that didn't happen until I complained about it.  Either way, he didn't seem to be learning much.  I really like him taking lessons, but I think I will find somewhere else to take him next year.  The only other thing we did this month was take Talen in for blood work.  And, of course, something happened with the vials that they took the first time, so we had to take him in again to have it re-done.  Both he and I were not happy about that.  We had the blood work done to make sure that he is ok to start on some new medicine (estrogen).  Jay and I have discussed with the doctors about putting him on estrogen to induce puberty with the hopes that it will keep him smaller than he would normally be.  The blood work all came back good and we are moving forward with the estrogen!  Wish us luck!!

Wet N Wild #2

We decided to make one more quick trip down to Wet N Wild before our tickets expired.  So, we picked up Kennedy's friend Claire, dropped off Carter and Talen at Cathy's, and took off for Vegas.  When we first pulled into town, we decided to do a little school shopping before we headed over to the park.  Once we got to Wet N Wild the girls took off to do their thing and Jay and I followed Daxton around while he played, and played, and played!  He had a blast!!  I could sit all day and just watch him run up and down the slides - and that is actually all that we did!!

Buckets

I'm not sure what the fascination these boys have with our play bins lately, but they have decided that they don't want to keep the toys in them, they want to be the toys in them!! And then I guess Jay thought it would be fun to try to fit them both inside the same tiny little bin.  I'm living in a house full of silly people!!!

Carter turns 2!!

Can't believe that my baby is 2!!  We had Jay's family over for ice cream cake and presents.  Like usual, he was spoiled like crazy!  He got several minion toys, a bubble blower, a swimming vest, trucks, a play table, coloring bath water tablets, Olaf, and a baby.  He loved every minute of opening presents!  What a cutie pie!!

Independence Day/Carter & Amy's Birthday celebration

Because Amy had to leave for Girls Camp on their birthday, we decided to celebrate for Amy and Carter on July 4th!  Cathy decorated the house all red, white, and blue (it was America's birthday too, so I thought that was appropriate).  We had dinner, opened presents, got in the pool, and watched fireworks from the deck.  Carter got spoiled with all sorts of Elmo presents - books, clothes, and candy. Cory even pulled out the balloons and made balloon animals.  Talen loved watching the kids balloon sword fight and was laughing hysterically when Carter turned the sword on him!  What a fun day for a birthday!!

Visiting Grandma Robin at Shenandoah Ranch

After Wet N Wild, we made a quick stop at Wayne Newton's Shenandoah Ranch to visit Grandma Robin at her new job.  Dax, Kennedy, and Katelyn had a great time walking around the ranch seeing all the different animals.  Looks like Jay's mom has quite the set-up!  We only stayed for about an hour and then it was back to good ol' St. George!

Dax loves his cousin Brooklynn

Wet N Wild #1

The kids had so much fun last year that we made Wet N Wild a yearly summer event.  We bought our normal $40 for 40 days passes and headed down for trip #1.  We decided that Carter was still a little too young to bring so we left him & Talen with Cathy again.  This left enough room for Kennedy to bring a friend, so she asked her friend Katelyn to come along.  The girls had a blast running all over and doing the rides while Jay and I spent most of our time floating in the lazy river and watching Dax have a ball in the kids section.   Dax loved it this year because he was finally tall enough that he could go down all the slides in the kid area.  He is such a goofball, I could spend all day just watching him!!
